Purpose: Handicrafts Awareness Programme and Distribution of Artisans Card to Women Artisans at Yalgud.
Impact: An awareness camp was organized for the women artisans of Yalgud who are skilled in making the traditional Kolhapuri Jewellery. The importance of Artisan card and the facilities that will be availed by the artisans with the help of the artisan card like Insurance policy, participation in national and international exhibitions free of cost, scholarships to their children who are studying in the 9th to 12th standard, skill trainings, workshops, etc. Artisan registration forms were submitted by Kalapuri. After 3 months the cards were distributed to the respective artisans by us. These card holders can avail all the facilities which DC Handicrafts gives to the artisans.
