We are glad to inform you, that Adhar Samajik Sanstha is distributing Improved Jewellery Tool Kits to Artisans on 08th March 2019. Adhar Samajik Sanstha, Yalgud is a livelihood development initiative involved in developing a network of artisans, workers, and micro-entrepreneurs capable of producing high-quality handicrafts (1200 artisans are on board). Currently, Adhar Samajik Sanstha is working with the artisan community in major districts of Maharashtra and Karnataka, India. In accordance with this we are distributing Improved Jewellery Tool kits to 50 artisans sponsored and supported by O/o, Development Commissioner (Handicraft), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India.

Adhar Samajik Sanstha Supporting Artisans Get Through This Covid Crisis by distributing Grocery Kits

We are a joint collaboration of three social enterprises – Adhar Samajik Sanstha, Kalapuri and Nirvi Handicrafts based out of Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Together, we aim to enable artisans, workers and micro-entrepreneurs by making them capable of producing high-quality Indian handicrafts. Till now, we have been able to develop 400 artisans to master the crafts of Kolhapur’s rich heritage and sell them successfully across India. However, due to the Coronavirus lockdown, we had to shut all our workshops due to which, the income of these artisans came to a complete halt. We are supporting these artisans and their families for a month, but now we need your help to continue supporting them and their families through these crises. Hence, we have started this fundraiser to distribute food and medical essentials to the homes of these artisans.
